Law firm leads the way on industry accreditation

An expanding Swansea law firm has become one of the first firms in Wales to gain the newest prestigious industry standard for client care.

JCP Solicitors has become one of the first firms in Wales to reach the Law Society’s enhanced charter of client care and case management, Lexcel v5.

As one of only a few practices in Swansea to have been associated with the previous Law Society’s Lexcel standard, the firm is now in the rare position of having completed the necessary audits and procedures demonstrating their exemplary standards and policies to ensure client care ahead of time.

The newly updated accreditation becomes mandatory for all Lexcel associated firms from July of this year, but JCP Solicitors has become one of the first firms to voluntarily make the transition to the new advanced system after completing the rigorous assessment period several months ahead of time.

The firm employs 107 members of staff at its offices in Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, and speaking of their achievement Steve Penny, Managing Partner said: “It is a great achievement for us to have been awarded the new enhanced Lexcel v5 several months ahead of the national shift to this enhanced standard.

“We put a great deal of effort into ensuring that our procedures and practices for working with our clients and managing our cases is the best that it can be, so reaching the Lexcel v5 as soon as possible was naturally our aim in order to reflect this focus and the ongoing development of our services.”
